They say there’s power in numbers. And while they say a lot of things – this one is definitely true. Whether you or someone close to you has epilepsy, the opportunity to give and receive support in a group setting has the power to decrease feelings of isolation and provide new insights and ideas for coping with the condition.
In general, our support groups are designed to:
- Increase knowledge and understanding about epilepsy.
- Help participants gain new skills.
- Strengthen a sense of support and social connectedness.
All support groups and meetings are held at our association located at 316, 4014 Macleod Trail SE and are drop-in – meaning they don’t require registration to attend. If you live outside of Calgary or can’t make it to one of our groups, we also offer online support groups. Please get in touch and we’ll be happy to get you connected.
