Donate a Car CanadaThe Epilepsy Association has Partnered with DONATE A CAR CANADA.  Donate A Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for Epilepsy Association of Calgary.

We provide free towing in many areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you Donate your RV, boat, motorcycle or other vehicle to Epilepsy Association of Calgary through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction depending on its condition, age and location. Donate A Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for your Charity to benefit.

After your Vehicle Donation is complete, Epilepsy Association of Calgary will send you a tax receipt within 45 days!

Planned Giving

Planned Giving is a set of ways a donor can leave money/assets to a non-profit at his/her death; or a way to invest money so that the donor receives benefits during his/her life and then bequeaths the remaining funds to the non-profit.
Planned giving, sometimes referred to as gift planning, may be defined as a method of supporting non-profits and charities that enables philanthropic individuals or donors to make larger gifts than they could make from their income. While some planned gifts provide a life-long income to the donor, others use estate and tax planning techniques to provide for charity and other heirs in ways that maximize the gift and/or minimize its impact on the donor's estate.
Thus, by definition, a planned gift is any major gift, made in lifetime or at death as part of a donor’s overall financial and/or estate planning.  What are the three types of planned gifts?
  1. First, outright gifts that use appreciated assets as a substitute for cash;
  2. Second, gifts that return income or other financial benefits to the donor in return for the contribution;
  3. Third, gifts payable upon the donor’s death.  Assets to give:
